When you register or run a car check, the information you provide helps us deliver your reports, send updates you’ve requested, and suggest services that may be useful.
Credit and debit card information never passes through our servers.
We don’t store card details, and we never share your payment information with third parties. Payments are securely processed by trusted providers like PayPal and Stripe.
We may occasionally email you with updates or offers if you’ve opted in.
With your consent, we may also share limited information with carefully selected partners who provide services related to our vehicle checks.
What information do we collect and how do we use it?
We collect the following information when provided by you:
- Name, telephone number, email address, postcode, and a Car Information Check using a vehicle registration plate.
How we use this information:
- Phone number: to assist with a car check you’ve run or to notify you about promotions or competition wins.
- Postcode: to show local vehicle crime trends or suggest nearby garages.
- Name & email address: to personalise your account, send copies of purchased vehicle checks, and provide reminders for MOT or tax expiry dates.
👉 If you don’t want reminders, you can remove vehicles from your account anytime.
We do not process or store your card details. All payments are handled directly by PayPal, Braintree and Stripe.
Do we share your personal information with third parties?
- Information may be disclosed if legally required or at the request of government authorities.
- Limited details may be shared with Experian to resolve outstanding finance check queries.
- With your consent, we may share information with trusted partners offering related services.
If our data practices change in the future, we’ll update this page and allow you to opt out of new uses.
If you don’t wish to receive emails from us, just let us know.

CarVeto uses data from multiple sources, some of which may be protected by copyright.
We access this data on your behalf, similar to how a search engine retrieves information for users, to provide accurate vehicle check reports.
We do not access DVLA systems directly; data is retrieved via approved DVLA services.
